Autumn Trends: Tory Burch Campaign A/W 14

The moment I spotted Tory Burch's A/W14 campaign at the tube stop I got excited for the golden autumn to start. Its autumnal colours, detailed prints, brocade and countryside setting - I love all about it! Unfortunately the golden autumn has now turned into a much grayer and rainier version than expected. Luckily Tory Burch's campaign shots and video are so beautiful that they will easily take you away from the miserable weather. 

Check out the campaign video below, it really brings the designs to live and is so enchanting to watch. In the designs the 1970's are dominant, taking a strong presence in the prints and fur collars. The rich red hues work so well along side the muted green and brown shades - it makes me want to buy a whole new bunch of clothes in this colour palette! And how gorgeous are the over knee boots? 

What I've been up to...

Woooaaah adult life is so different to student life! Since July I started my first proper grown-up job and since then I don't seem to find any time to blog. If I'm honest I do have time after work, but I'm just so tired (what a boring person I've turned into!). Luckily I'm constantly surrounded my fashion and trends in my job so I shouldn't lack in inspirations but maybe it is motivation. Others might call it a writers block...Anyways I thought I break the silence with a quick visual Instagram diary on what I've been up to!

(1) Autumn is here! Even though we had an incredible summer and I do love the sun, I'm actually quite glad I get to wear my autumn clothes again. The fur, coat and booties I wear on this photo all belong to my mum. She thinks they are super old school but I do love them. These black boots are the comfiest things ever.

(2) Last weekend I went to my first ever English wedding and I loved it! The bride and ceremony were absolutely beautiful. There were lots of cakes, vintage tea cups and bunting.

(3) Embarrassing selfie. This is the dress I wore at the wedding, it's from Louche/Joy. I absolutely love their collections and stores. The prices are really affordable, the quality is great and the designs are quite unique. Their autumn collection just came out and there is a little metallic skirt I've already fallen in love with...pay day hurry up please.

(4) Beauty addict. I never counted myself to the ones who were addicted to beauty products, but ever since I've started earning my own money I seem to have inherited my mum's curiosity in beauty products. Her bathroom shelfs were always filled with hundreds of things. In this case I didn't have to feel guilty about spending money as it was all for charity! The Clinique chubby stick comes in a lovely brown color, perfect for a natural autumn look. Maxfactor's red lipstick is matte, smooth and doesn't dry out the lips - perfect! The last product I got was Eyeko's fat brush mascara. I didn't know the brand before, but I've to say it's great! I'm really picky with mascaras usually and stick to Maybelline's Telescopic and Kiko's mascara but Eyeko's mascara tube persuaded me! It even comes with a little cover so it's impossible to get mascara on your eye lid if you're in a hurry.

(5) Matchy matchy. Just a little combo I was wearing the other day at work. My mum brought this little set back from Thailand for me 2 years ago. It's a light yellow skirt and blouse with a photographic landscape print. It's crazy how fashionable and trend-forward Thailand is. The co-ord trend just arrived on the UK high-street now.

(6) Knitty. Since I started working my wardrobe must have doubled. The amount of clothes I bring back after a week at work is crazy. Need. To. Stop.

(7) Vans X Liberty. Love, love, looooove my new trainers. My bf got me these as a belated birthday present and they are soooo beautiful!

It's feels weird to admit that I have been drawn to pink coloured clothes and shoes recently. I mean... WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!? I was so sure I would never like that certain bright shade of pink again in my life, but as usual one shall never say never. Especially if it's fashion related. The colour pinks has been been associated with Barbie, blondies and pure trashiness for a while now but on the streets we can see how pink can actually look really nice and quite sophisticated, if combined with simple cuts, calm colours or silky materials. Whilst looking around the high-street and browsing my favourite online shops, pink seems to pop up everywhere! The ASOS happy days sandals are my absolute favourite. I love everything about them: The nostalgic kitsch, the metallic look and the chunky heel which hopefully makes the shoe a little bit more comfy. Pink is such a vibrant summer colour (great for a night out!) and can be easily taken into autumn. Take the streetstyle photographs as an example - pink accessories and key pieces are great colour accents when the first autumn outfits.

Excuse me talking about autumn fashion already...in the head office I'm working in I'm surrounded by wintery knits already!

free people june lookbook

Have you seen Free People's June lookbook yet? I just came across it now and its incredible!!! The colours, lighting and styling create a beautiful soft and mysterious mood. Irresistible. I especially like the photography of the accessories. And what can I say other than I love the gem stone necklaces.  However this is not supposed to turn into another gem stone post, promise! Not only is Free People's lookbook amazing because of the styling - but also because it's interactive which makes it so much easier to find the products we like. It even includes a tutorial to get that beach perfect hair style the model got! I discovered this lookbook when searching for a fringed leather jacket or kimono. I'm currently obsessed with these two things and have been browsing Ebay, Etsy, ASOS Marketplace and many other shops for the one and only fringed leather jacket! Please let me know if you know a place where I should look for it!

Habt ihr schon das Free People Lookbook vom Juni gesehen? All die Farben und Lichteffekte sind einfach nur wunderschön. Besonders gut gefallen mir der Edelsteinschmuck, aber das könnt ihr euch sicher schon denken wenn ihr meinen Blog kennt! Toll ist auch, dass das Free People Lookbook interaktiv ist. So macht das online shoppen gleich mehr Spaß, denn es ist viel einfach die Produkte und Preise zu finden. Außerdem gibt es auch ein Tutorial indem gezeigt wird wie man zu Hause das tolle Beach Haarstyling vom Model hinbekommt. Ich habe das Lookbook entdeckt als ich auf der Suche nach einer Lederjacke oder Kimono mit Fransen war. Manche finden das wahrscheinlich eher ein wenig merkwürdig, aber ich bin momentan ganz verrückt nach dem Fransen-Boho Look! Ich hab schon Ebay, Etsy, ASOS Marketplace und viele anderen Läden durchsucht nach der einen perfekten Lederjacke mit Fransen. Leider war ich noch immer nicht fündig, lasst mich doch bitte wissen falls ihr wisst wo ich noch so gucken könnte!

ZARA sale

ZARA'S SALE STARTS AT MIDNIGHT!!!
I'm so excited for this! I'm a bargain hunter (definitely got it from my mum) and Zara's collections have been extremely amazing this season so I'm really looking forward to this one. Thanks to printing hundreds of pages for my dissertation I wasn't able to shop as much as I wanted to. I guess if something pretty is on sale there are no excuses to be made, especially after I've sold quite a few bits on Ebay the other day...on the other side I should really save some money as I'm moving to London! What shall I do?

Dank Facebook habe ich gerade gesehen, dass Zara's Sale heute um Mitternacht beginnt! Ich fand die Zara Frühling/Sommer Kollektionen dieses Jahr besonders gelungen und wollte eigentlich schon gerne ein paar Sachen kaufen, aber leider hatte das Drucken meiner Bachelorarbeit einfach zu viel Geld gekostet! Erst letztes Wochenende habe ich mein Kleiderschrank ausgemistet und ganz viel bei Ebay verkauft - vielleicht ist es Zeit für eine neue Investition? Aber eigentlich sollte ich doch für mein Umzug nach London sparen...!

So are you superstitious? Do you believe in the supernatural? Superstition has been quite a big trend in fashion for a while now. Everyone for example kinda went crazy for things with space prints on! Another trend which seem to pop up more and more are gemstones. In my first year of university we went to New York and I was so happy to find a raw amethyst necklace at Urban Outfitters as it was only available in the US. I might not be a very superstitious person but I kinda believe in astrology and the strengths of gemstones. It must have been the influence of my grandmother, auntie and big sister who all collected gemstones and I remember admiring especially my big sister's collection of beautiful raw amethysts. In the collage you can see two necklaces from Regal Rose's new collection featuring many gorgeous necklaces with amethysts and blue lapis. Etsy is also a great place if you're looking for some unique gemstone jewellery.

Bist du abergläubisch? In den letzten 3 Jahren konnten wir Weltall/Astrologie Themen immer wieder in der Modewelt wiederfinden. Schon WGSN, die führende Trend-Analyse- und Forschungs-Agentur der Modebranche, hatte den Trend 'Superstition' (Aberglaube) hervor gesagt und lag damit Gold richtig. Pinterest und Tumblr sind voll mit Astrologie Bildern und auch Edelsteine werden Jahr für Jahr beliebter. Ich bin nicht all zu abergläubisch, aber ich muss schon zugeben dass ich an die Kräfte von Edelsteinen glaube. Der Grund dafür liegt wahrscheinlich am Einfluss meiner Oma, Tante und großen Schwester die alle Edelsteine sammeln! Normalerweise bin ich nicht unbedingt ein Fan von Schmuck, aber wenn an einer Kette ein wunderschöner Amethyst oder Bergkristall hängt dann kann ich einfach nicht nein sagen. Sollte es dir genau so gehen dann kann ich dir auf jeden Fall Etsy.com und die Englische Marke Regal Rose empfehlen. Die neue Kollektion ist wunderschön und preisgünstig.

H&M X Brick Lane Bikes

Since 2004, H&M collaborated with luxury designers. From Karl Lagerfeld to Maison Martin Margiela, all the sudden everyone of us could afford luxury items. Personally, I found these collaborations more and more disappointing over time and I'm glad to see that H&M's choice in collaborations is changing! On the 7.3.2013 H&M's capsule men's collection with Brick Lane Bikes will be available in stores and online. The 11 piece collection ranges from waterproof jackets to vintage-inspired bike jerseys made from sustainable materials. The vibrant colours and thought through functionality make this collection definitely a great addition to the wardrobe. This collaboration choice is not only right on trend but also much more authentic and surprising than its high-end designer collaborations.

Wenn wir von H&M hören denken viele von uns sicherlich gleich an die zahlreichen Designer Kollektionen, die die Marke schon seit 2004 für die breite Masse erhältlich macht. Nun hat H&M sich endlich etwas Neues einfallen lassen und bringt zusammen mit Brick Lane Bikes eine Kollektion für Fahrradfahrer raus! Ab dem 7.3.2013 wird die 11-teilige Kollektion, die nachhaltig produziert wurde, in über 180 Läden und online erhältich sein. Mit dieser Kollktion reagiert H&M  auf den jetzigen Fahrradtrend und erschließt sich außerdem eine neue Zielgruppe.

Uni is nearly over and the sun is out - all we need now is the perfect outfit for a trip to the beach! If you read my blog quite often you will probably know that I'm a We Are Handsome fan, so their floral bikini is very high on my wishlist. Another thing which can't miss at the beach is a pair of stylish sunglasses. For a bit of 50's retro fun, cat eye sunglasses are the perfect choice. They are a must-have this summer and look so cute I think. What is on your wishlist for this summer?

Die Uni is so gut wie vorbei und der Sommer ist nun auch endlich in England angekommen! Auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Bikini und Sommerschuhen wurde ich auf Farfetch.com fündig. Der Bikini von 'We Are Handsome' ist einfach nur traumhaft und die goldene Sohle der Stine Goya Schuhe glänzt bestimmt besonders schön in der Sonne. Außerdem darf diesen Sommer die Cat Eye Sonnenbrille beim nicht fehlen, denn sie gibt dem ganzen Look einen 50's retro Touch.

Tumblr and Pinterest images

Sunshine and blue sky - it's finally spring and I love this time of the year! I've never really posted about decor or interior before but I felt like putting my current obsession with flowers and the use of glass in a moodboard. A small pyramid vivarium such as the one on top right would look great together with your favourite ring in there. It's defitnely on my wishlist for when I decorate my own place. As you can see are pastels playing a big role again and all of us seem to love it at the moment, just as the pastel spring 'The Ragged Priest Lookbook'. I was very happy seeing that so many are now reading my blog, thank you to all of you reading and commenting my posts so often!

Endlich, der Frühling ist da und hat mich inspiriert mein erstes Deko Moodboard zu gestalten. Ich persönlich finde, dass Blumen schnell ihre Wirkung in Vasen verlieren und habe mich deswegen ein wenig nach Alternativen umgeschaut. In das kleine Vivarium passen zwar villeicht nur Blüten rein, aber es sieht bestimmt auch toll aus als Schmuckkästchen.

Chunky platform sneakers seem to pop up on the highstreet slowly! Love the Topshop grey ones, if they would only have mint laces. Monki's Bess shoes are really cute as well. The organza ribbons give them a great extra touch and would look amazing to rolled up jeans or a floral summer dress.

Ob Topshop, Asos oder Monki - Sneakers mit Platform scheinen dieses Jahhr besonders trendy zu sein. Monki hatte sich schon letztes Jahr an den Trend getraut, aber nun folgen auch die englischen Marken. Mir gefallen besonders gut die grauen Topshop Sneaker, nur die pinken Schnürsenkel würde ich lieber durch hell türkisene ersetzten. Monki's Bess Schuhe sind  auch toll und sogar aus einem Lederimitat. Die Organza Schnürsenkel lassen die Schuhe noch etwas mädchenhafter aussehen und passen perfekt zu hochgekrempelten Jeans oder einem schönen Blumemkleid.

It  might be freezing cold out there but all I'm thinking about is summer! Blue and grey seem the perfect combination for the first sunny day. Weekdays shoes and silky shirts this season are amazing as always and you can never go wrong with some Levis shorts. Unfortunately I couldn't find any shirt collar trips on my trip to Beijing, so I'm hoping to find some nice ones online. Any tips?

Obwohl es draußen noch super kalt ist momentan, denke ich schon an den nächsten Sommer. Blau und Grau sehen in der Kombination mit Jeans und seidigen Stoffen einfach wunderbar frühlingshaft aus. Wie jede Saison hat Weekday nicht nur viele wunderbare T-Shirts mit tollen Drucken sondern auch diese traumhaften Schuhe (gibt es auch im zarten gelb!). Seit langem stehen nun auch schon Shirt tips auf meiner Wunschliste, aber ich kann leider einfach nicht die Richtigen finden.

There are way too many pretty things out there. It seems like I'm developing a passion for mint coloured things lately. I love the icy freshness of the colour and that it is not all over the highstreet yet. Although we might see it more often very soon due to Chloé's Winter 2011/2012 collection. Instead of silver and gold accessories, copper is a great alternative. Weekday got great arm cuffs at the moment, which gives you a more edgy look.

Es gibt einfach viel zu viele schöne Dinge da draußen. Wenn man meine Wunschlist so betrachtet erkennt man schnell, dass ich momentan von Mint nicht genug bekommen kann. Es ist einfach eine so herrlich erfischende Farbe, an der man sich noch nicht satt gesehen hat. Zumindestens noch nicht. Chloé's Winter 2011/2012 Show zeigte schon vereinzelt diesen Farbton und hat vielleicht doch den ein oder anderen Designer inspiriert. Wir können gespannt sein. Statt Silber und Gold Accessoires, sieht Kupfer besonders schön aus in der Kombination mit Mint. Weekdays Armreifen sind da genau das Richtige.

It's officially decemeber now and just about time get all the sparkly decoration & clothes out. Loved Urban Outfitters newsletter today, look at that girls lush purple hair! Wish I could pull it off without looking like out of a manga. Maybe I should just go for a short hair cut? Can't decide what to do.

Nun ist es soweit. Es ist Dezember - der Monat in dem man all seine glitzernde Weihnachtsdeko und Kleidung rausholt. Heute hat mich insbesondere Urban Outfitters Newsletter erfreut, dank der tollen Models! Ich liebe die lilanen kurzen Haare, könnte es aber wohl leider selber  nie tragen. Schade...vielleicht schneide ich sie mir einfach kurz?

Look at me I'm a poser - but only because I had to find a way of showing you my new beautiful jumper! Metallic and glittery jumpers are a big trend this winter again and will probably always be. Mine is blue metallic and from (believe it or not) H&M's kids section. Finally the sleeves aren't too long for me and it was a bargain as well.

Ich bin ja kein großer Fan von Webcam Posing, aber leider hatte ich keine andere Wahl euch meinen neuen tolle Pullover zu zeigen! Diesen Winter sind Metallik- und Glitzereffekte mal wieder ein großer Trend (sowie eigentlich jedes Jahr) und ich habe ein besonders tolles Schnäppchen gemacht. Denn mein blauer Metallik Pullover stammt aus der H&M Kinderabteilung! Unfassbar  wie stylish sich die Kids von heute anziehen und glücklicherweise passt Größe 170 wie angegossen.

This weekend I went to H&M and was pretty suprised by their strong A/W collection. The fox trend might have been all over the highstreet for over a year now but I've never seen a fox fur scarf before! Keeps me warm & looks just adorable. I also picked up a black turban as I've been looking for one for ages already. Thank you H&M!

Dieses Wochenende war ich sehr positiv überrascht von H&M's Herbst/Winter Kollektion. Der herbstliche Fuchs Trend ist zwar nicht neu, aber mir gefällt die kreative Umsetzung des Design Teams! Endlich mal nicht nur Pullis mit einem Fuchs drauf, nein - nun gibt es auch einen kuscheligen & warmen Fuchs Schal zu kaufen. Außerdem bin ich nun auch die stolze Besitzerin eines schwarzen Turbans. Suche schon gefühlte 10 Jahre nach einem...war aber nicht risikofreudig genug einen online zu bestellen. Auf good old H&M ist halt immer Verlass.

There is no denying that the fashion world is going dotty over polka dots. They are everywhere! From the catwalks to the highstreet and now even on my lips. Don't think I've actually spent hours on drawing perfect dots on my lips...I got this temporary lip tattoo for free from the Professional Beauty Trade Show Manchester last week. They are very easy to apply, stay on quite long and don't fell sticky at all. People on the train looked at me a bit confused but I decided to buy red fishnet ones for Halloween!

Die Fashion World scheint momentan mit Pünktchen übersät zu sein. Vom Catwalk zur Highstreet und nun sogar auf meinen Lippen! Nein, nein ich hatte keine Geduld mir perfekte Pünktchen auf meine Lippen zu malen...dies hier ist ein 'lip tattoo'. Gab es umsonst auf der Professional Beauty Trade Show in Manchester letzte Woche und hat mich vollkommen überzeugt. Mit ein wenig Wasser ist es super schnell aufgetragen, bleibt lange drauf und fühlt sich kein bisschen klebrig an. Daraufhin habe ich ein Set gekauft im roten fishnet-look für Halloween.

Black, yellow, green or red?

I need these boots from ASOS in my life! They look absolutely perfect for cold autumn/winter days but what colour should I get? The classic black ones? The funky yellow ones? The forest green or pretty burgundy ones? Arghh I really can't decide...help!

Ohhh ich muss mir unbedingt diese Schuhe von ASOS holen. Sie sind absolut perfekt um durch Kälte & Schnee zu stampfen. Ich kann mich bloß noch nicht entscheiden welche Farbe ich nehmen soll? Das klassische Schwarz oder doch lieber das ausgefallene gelb? Oder vllt doch lieber das schöne grün oder dunkelrot? Hilfeeee!

It's sunday and I find myself being bored. Why oh why are sunday always so boring? So it comes that I spent the day reading my favourite blogs, browsing through online shops & discovering more and more beauties I need to share with you. At the moment I'm quite obsessed with collars. No peter pan collars on tops though! What I'm looking for are the seperate ones you can add on shirts or layer underneath tops. Just like the beautiful Pixie Market leather and silk collars with studs or other embellishments on. Another thing on my wishlist is a silky blouse with a huge, pointy collar but I can't find it anywhere unfortunately. Seems like it's time to get back to UK and have a look in the vintage shops.

The fashion fascination with the universe started probably a long time ago but started all over again when I saw this video. Its truly beautiful & inspiring. Whilst having too many thoughts about painting my room like the universe (and realising it wouldn't look good having the walls in deep purple/bluish with sparkly/crappy little stars on it), getting a galaxy (not the chocolate) tattoo and saving up money to buy a Christopher Kane outer space dress, I found the Black Milk online shop. This australian brand specialised on amazing & very unique prints for leggins, swimsuits and mini dresses.
